The second of two items for my Kiwi readers as they begin their week.
Nau mai, haere mai ki te Kōtui Ako | Virtual Learning Network Aotearoa
Kia ora koutou katoa, Kia orāna, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Nĭ hăo 你好, Annyoung haseyo 안녕하세요, Namaste, Assalām alaikum, Hola, Bonjour, Hallo!
Welcome to our first pānui as Kōtui Ako | Virtual Learning Network Aotearoa. It’s official, Virtual Learning Network (VLN) Primary and Online Learning Community (OLC) no longer exist! We have continued the mahi of the last two years to become a Year 0 to 13 organisation with a single governance and operational structure. We are providing pathways of learning for ākonga across Primary and Secondary, sharing teaching and leadership expertise and coordinating resources and support. Read more to find out what this looks like for schools and learners.
Although registrations have closed for the beginning of the year, there are still ways that your school can participate. There are spaces available in our Gifted Learner Sustainability programme starting in Term 2. Get in quick with your expressions of interest before the end of term as places are limited. Thanks to Rosmini College for sharing opportunities to join in Filipino classes led by their own students. There is no cost to participate and lots of opportunities during the week to join in.
Tutoring opportunities continue to be available for schools who have received this funding support from the MoE. Get in touch to discuss how we can tailor programmes for your ākonga.
A reminder for all participating Primary schools that whānau and learning support staff are warmly invited to ‘Meet the eTeacher’ next week. Please share this information with your school community and invite them to join us next Wednesday after school.
For all our member schools your presence is requested at our AGM on May 18th. Please save the date.
