Dr. Evans Is Convening Think Tank Discussions about AI in Education
There is no shortage of opinions on the impact of AI in the classroom. We want to go beyond those opinions and hear directly from you. School and district leaders are invited to participate in a think tank facilitated on Zoom by Dr. Evans. This open discussion is not a pitch for or against AI but rather a safe forum for education leaders to share ideas and learn from colleagues.
Wednesday, May 31 at 2 pm PT/5 pm ET
Tuesday, June 8 at 9 am PT/12 noon ET
Thursday, June 13 at 12 noon PT/3 pm ET
If you are unable to participate now, let us know your interest in a future conversation using the link above.
2022-2023 Speak Up Survey Updates
Thank you to all of our 2022-2023 Speak Up participants!
Michelle will be reaching out to each of our district contacts in the next few weeks with some preliminary data and to get feedback on your experience.
National Surveys will open for K-12 District Leaders on June 14th. There will be separate surveys for Superintendents and Directors, Technology Leaders, and Communication Officers. Like our school-level surveys, this set informs local, state, and national policies and programs that support the effective use of technology within K-12 school districts. Stay tuned for additional information prior to the launch.
Speak Up’s Third Annual K-12 District Cybersecurity Awareness and Preparation Survey opens May 17th. Project Tomorrow has been reporting on the state of cybersecurity in K-12 districts since 2017 and will continue to do so this year.
District leaders’ input on this survey is critical to informing new policies, programs and funding to support cybersecurity in K-12 districts. Help us make sure your district is represented!
NETP Listening Sessions Wrap Up & Public Polls Open
Project Tomorrow has been honored to lead the listening session work for the National Educational Technology Plan (NETP) with Learning Forward. The final group listening session is on Thursday, May 18 with K-12 District Technology Leaders. Previous sessions included other K-12 education roles, teacher preparation programs, and accessibility and policy leaders.
We will be releasing a series of six online polls in May and keeping them open June 2023. The first two are audience based for educators and parents of K-12 students. To access the polls and updates, visit: https://tech.ed.gov/netp/
